    Could you please describe how you did it? I contacted PIA support and they told me I would need to install it on my router because the Nvidia Shield Android TV was not supported.

    You should be able to side load OpenVPN app and then you are able to use any VPN provider. I have seen on a forum that side loading OpenVPN is possible.

    I just sideloade a couple VPNs on my Nvidia shield the other day, it was actually quite easy but you need to download a few apps from the playstore 1st.
    you need, ES File explorer and Sideload Launcher. You can also get numerous free and paid VPNs there too.
    After you get those apps you can either google how to side load or PM me (hopefully that's allowed here) and I will gladly help you out.

    I just loaded PureVPN and it works great. I can now watch iPlayer and with VPN Unlimited it wouldn't work. Right now they're having a sale, buy 1 year, get 1 free.
